Events Coordinator, Kennett Square
Megan joined the Good Sam team in September, 2023 as our Events Coordinator, leveraging her creative skills and passion for community engagement to develop and implement impactful events. Armed with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Evangel University, Megan brings a wealth of experience in community outreach and event planning to her role.
Prior to joining Good Sam, Megan served the Kennett YMCA since 2015, initially as an Enrichment Instructor and later as the Family Programs Director. In these capacities, she orchestrated a variety of events, ranging from Family and Community initiatives to charitable endeavors like the Empty Bowl Project, Winter Coat Drive, Thanksgiving Meal Baskets, Holiday Angels, Community Clean Up Day, and Healthy Kids Day, among others.
Megan is also the Community Coordinator for the West Chester Healthy Kids Running Series, where she advocates for healthy habits and movement among children through a biannual 5-week running series for kids aged 2 to 18.
Discovering Good Sam during a job search was a providential moment for Megan. Praying for a position with a company that prioritizes people and aligns with her values, she said she found the perfect fit in Good Sam. Our organization’s mission to invest in individuals and communities resonated deeply with her desire to make a meaningful impact.
Megan’s favorite aspect of her job at Good Sam is the people—colleagues, clients, and community members. She thrives on the collaborative efforts that make Good Sam’s mission possible. Megan envisions her work contributing to long-term positive change in the community, ensuring Good Sam continues to thrive and make a difference.
Outside of work, Megan is an active member of Power Place Church. Family is central to her life, and she cherishes moments spent with her four wonderful daughters. Together, they enjoy traveling, camping, socializing with friends and family, exploring new activities, embracing the outdoors, and engaging in games. Megan’s household is completed by two rescue dogs, Trigger and Cali, two outdoor cats, Nike and Sparta, and a guinea pig named Buttercup.
