Catarina joined the Good Sam team in February 2023. She started as a Resource Coordinator and was quickly promoted to the Lead Resource Coordinator position. She connects with people coming into any step of our program helping participants with what they need to overcome homelessness or help them prevent becoming homeless.

Catarina holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies. Before Good Sam, Catarina worked for Communities in Schools, Inc., Storehouse Church in Plymouth Meeting, and Spring-Ford Area School District. When Catarina learned about Good Sam online, she immediately fell in love with the mission and the impact that Good Sam has in the community. She also loves that we are a faith-based organization!

Heavily involved in her church, Connection Church in Pottstown, Catarina leads worship and volunteers on the support team. She has volunteered with different initiatives benefitting the community of Norristown (cleaning up streets, painting schools, donating to shelters). She has also sponsored the education of a child in Ethiopia and coordinated an after-school program for at-risk youth in South Carolina.

“I’ve always had a heart for making an impact in the homeless community and felt called to follow the path that God has laid out for me. I want to make a tangible difference in people’s lives, help break the stigma related to homelessness, and help people understand that homelessness not only comes in many shapes and forms, but it also lives right in our backyard.”

Catarina is married to her husband, Conrad. They have 3 children (ages 22, 16, and 14) and a tiny dog named Luna. Catarina loves to sing, travel, and get to know other cultures!
