Chief Executive Officer
Since 2009, Nate has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Good Samaritan Services. During his time at Good Sam, the organization has grown from serving 15 people a day, to serving up to 300 people every day across 5 locations. The organization’s budget has increased by a remarkable 1,600% during Nate’s 16 years leading the organization.
Nate guided the organization through three major merger/acquisition projects by casting a vision and identifying community needs. Under his leadership, Good Sam implemented innovative programming (Matched Savings, Microloan, Counseling) to enhance overall client impact. Nate also played a leading role in Good Sam achieving the PANO (Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations) Seal of Excellence certification, awarded to the best-managed non-profits in the state of PA.
Previously, Nate has worked with many non-profit organizations including Bread for the World in Washington, DC and the Independent Jamaican Council for Human Rights in Kingston, Jamaica. In addition to his current work at Good Samaritan Services, Nate previously served as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Conner M. Holland Foundation, an organization that provides financial assistance to families fighting pediatric cancer. Nate currently serves as the Chairman of the Advisory Committee for Pottstown Beacon of Hope, a homeless shelter organization in Pottstown. Nate has provided consulting to numerous start-up organizations over the years, helping many shelter and housing organizations get started. Nate is also a current member and former President of the Denver-Ephrata Rotary Club.
He and his wife, Rebekah, live in Ephrata and have 3 children. They are members of LCBC Church in Ephrata. Nate earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Eastern Mennonite University and his MBA from Eastern University. Nate also holds a Certificate in Executive Leadership from Arcadia University.
