WINTER SHELTER

Good Sam’s Winter Shelter provides a safe space for individuals experiencing homelessness to sleep during the coldest months of the year. Winter Shelter guests are provided with a warm meal, shower facilities, and a warm bed to sleep in.

To receive an assigned bed, you must first contact our Outreach Resource Coordinator. Admittance to Winter Shelter requires proof of Ephrata residency and screening by the Outreach Resource Coordinator.

Get Involved!

Provide Hot meals

We will be serving hot meals for 10-12 people per night. Casserole, soup, lasagna, spaghetti, etc. are examples of meals that work well.

Volunteer

We’re looking for welcoming volunteers to help with set up, check-in, and serving meals for Winter Shelter guests.

Donate Supplies

Help keep us stocked with everything we need to run the Winter Shelter! Please submit form below with your contact info, and a team member will reach out to you to schedule a drop-off time for your donations.

  • Powerade/Gatordade (small individual bottles, not big bottles)
  • Juices - Apple & Cranberry (small individual bottles, not big bottles)
  • Coffee (cans of coffee, NOT K-cups)
  • Sugar Packets
  • Creamer (refrigerated & powdered)
  • Individually packaged snacks (single serving: goldfish, pretzels, granola bars, fruit cups, cereal)
  • Paper Plates
  • Styrofoam Bowls
  • Plastic Utensils (spoons, forks, knives)
  • Paper Napkins
  • To-go Coffee Cups with Lids
  • Styrofoam Cups
