“My husband and I decided to make a monetary donation to Good Samaritan Services in honor of our daughter, Liz, who along with her husband, Ryan, have started volunteering at Good Sam in Ephrata, helping wherever they are needed and very excited to do so. It’s heartwarming to hear Liz tell stories of the good work that is being done at Good Sam.
Liz is the youngest of our three children and is unable to have children of her own due to a cancer diagnosis ten years ago that, at age 30, took away her ability to have children. Our son and other daughter each have two children. We have been putting money into college accounts for them and decided that since Liz cannot have children through no choice of her own, we should support her desire to help those less fortunate at Good Samaritan Services by donating the same amount that goes into each of our grandchildren’s college accounts on a yearly basis.
Liz is a kind, thoughtful, compassionate person who truly believes that they are making a difference in the work being done at Good Sam and because of her enthusiasm and passion for helping others, we wish to honor that passion by making a donation in her name.
