Transitional Housing. New apartments available in partnership with Hopewell UMC.
Hopewell United Methodist Church is ready to launch its transitional housing program in partnership with Good Samaritan Services! On Sunday, January 26th, there was a great celebration of the completion of one of the two apartments at The Well. Together, Hopewell UMC and Good Sam cut the ceremonial ribbon and walked in prayer throughout the apartments. Over 100 people attended to honor Pastors Steve Morton, Amy Banka and all of the faithful volunteers.
The great people at Hopewell UMC, Downingtown, PA have invested so much to completely renovate the building, The Well and the 2 beautiful and spacious 3 bedroom apartments within the establishment. Our partnership will enable us to utilize these two apartments to provide affordable housing to two single mothers and their children in our program.
Faithful Partners
Hopewell UMC is one of our many wonderful partners! In addition to Hopewell UMC, we are partnered with Rossmere Mennonite Church in Lancaster City, East Petersburg Mennonite Church, and East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church in Lancaster City. Each church owns properties and partners with Good Sam to provide affordable and transitional housing to a number of families in our Permanent Housing Services.
What can you do?
Our service area is ever-growing, and we continually need partnerships like these in order to continue to serve and provide more homes to individuals and families at Good Sam! If you or your church would like to partner with us, please reach out. You can learn more by contacting Nate Hoffer at nate@goodsamservices.org.
