We are excited to announce that Phoenixville Women’s Outreach (PWO) is officially becoming part of Good Samaritan Services, uniting two organizations deeply committed to serving individuals experiencing homelessness. This means even more women in our community will receive the housing, support, and resources they need.

Through this merger, PWO’s two homes will now operate under Good Sam, ensuring continued housing for women with enhanced support. This marks a major milestone for Good Sam—our first time offering housing for women in Phoenixville!

The Boards of Directors for both organizations unanimously approved this transition, recognizing its tremendous benefits for our community. We anticipate final approval from the State soon and look forward to expanding these vital services.

“Building on a deep history of partnership and a shared mission of supporting those in need in the Phoenixville area, PWO is thrilled to join forces with Good Sam to expand resources, enhance services, and work toward a future where safe, stable housing is accessible to all.”

Why This Merger Matters!

A Strong Foundation of Partnership

For 25 years, Good Sam has supported those facing homelessness in Phoenixville. When PWO was founded 10 years ago to support women, they turned to Good Sam for guidance, resources, and best practices, forming a lasting relationship.

Expanding Housing & Services for Women

This merger allows PWO’s two homes to operate under Good Sam, ensuring continued safe housing, case management, and support services for women in crisis. Good Sam will now provide daily housing for nearly 50 men, women, and children in Phoenixville.

Increased Resources & Sustainability

Women in this program will now benefit from Good Sam’s full range of services, including expanded case management, free access to mental health support, live-in housing staff, rental assistance, and increased organizational fundraising efforts to ensure long-term sustainability.

A Growing Impact

Last year, Good Sam served a record number of individuals—852 men, women, and children— a significant increase from 644 the previous year. This growth underscores both the rising need for services and our ongoing commitment to meeting those needs in our community.
