After a decade and a half without a driver’s license, Joe recently took the necessary steps and successfully got it reinstated! He had postponed the process due to past struggles with drinking. Now sober, Joe was motivated to move forward with the reinstatement process with encouragement and guidance from Good Sam.
This year, Good Sam has helped 28 individuals acquire identification documents that open doors for employment opportunities, transportation, and securing housing.
Joe, employed as a painter, has been working incredibly hard and also fulfilled the requirements of our Matched Savings Program! We’re so happy about how far he’s come, his journey starting at our winter shelter, progressing through the temporary housing steps of our program, to now living in our affordable housing!
