After fleeing from an abusive relationship with her two young boys, Ashley had no idea where she was going to live. When she moved into Good Sam’s housing, she began setting goals, budgeting, saving money, meeting weekly with a mentor, and rebuilding a sense of confidence and self-worth.
“This is the first time my kids have ever had a safe home.“ – Ashley
Ashley had made huge strides in her journey to stability when the position of Program Administrative Assistant opened at Good Sam. Excited at the opportunity to help others experiencing similar situations to her own, Ashley interviewed for the role and was officially offered the position in December 2023!
“I would like to thank Good Sam for making me believe in myself again.”
In her role, Ashley is often the first point of contact for individuals seeking services. She answers phones, conducts screenings, refers resources, responds to website inquiries, and maintains connections with alumni through thoughtful follow-ups. Her favorite aspect of the job is expressing compassion to those reaching out, drawing from her personal experience as a Good Sam program graduate.

Beyond her work life, Ashley is an active member of Limeville Church in Gap. Her most cherished role, however, is being a mother to two young boys aged 4 and 6, who occupy much of her time. Ashley enjoys walks while her boys ride their scooters, and is an avid fan of reality shows on Bravo TV. Family holds a special place in her heart, and she values spending quality time with loved ones.
