Good Samaritan Services Receives $50,000 Grant from Foxwynd Foundation

to Strengthen Housing and Support for Women in Phoenixville

[Phoenixville, PA] – Good Samaritan Services (Good Sam) is deeply grateful to announce a generous $50,000 grant from the Foxwynd Foundation that will strengthen its ability to house and serve women in Phoenixville following its merger with Phoenixville Women’s Outreach (PWO) earlier this year. This support enhances Good Sam’s expanded efforts to provide safe housing, essential resources, and a full continuum of care for women experiencing homelessness in northern Chester County.

The grant was made possible through the Foxwynd Foundation DAF, highlighting the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting community organizations. This investment will support renovations to one of the two homes that became part of Good Sam through the merger, fund database enhancements needed to manage an expanded donor base, and provide programmatic support that increases access to critical services for women in need.

“We are proud to support Good Samaritan Services at this pivotal moment in their growth,” said Pamela Villagra, Executive Director of the Foxwynd Foundation. “Through this grant, we hope to help ensure women in Phoenixville have access to safe housing, essential resources, and the comprehensive support they need to thrive. Collaborations like this allow us to make a real and lasting difference in our community.”

This grant comes at a pivotal time as Good Sam integrates operations and services following the merger with PWO, uniting two organizations with a shared commitment to empowering neighbors facing housing insecurity. Through this expansion, women in Phoenixville now have access to Good Sam’s full continuum of care, including housing, case management, counseling, and financial stability programs.

“This generous grant from the Foxwynd Foundation helps us move forward with essential renovations, technology improvements, and expanded programming that will directly benefit women in Phoenixville,” said Nate Hoffer, CEO of Good Samaritan Services. “We are so thankful for their continued belief in our mission and their partnership in helping our neighbors find lasting stability.”

Good Samaritan Services extends heartfelt gratitude to the Foxwynd Foundation for its trust and investment in the organization’s mission. Together, they are building stronger pathways toward housing stability and hope for neighbors across Chester County.
